Dorothy Chambers
Executive Director
Dorothy Chambers brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership, community development, and strategic planning experience to her role as Executive Director of United Way of the Wabash Valley. She previously led the CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center in Terre Haute as its Executive Director and Program Director, where she oversaw major exhibit renovations and advanced the organization’s mission of education and community engagement.
Before her nonprofit leadership in Terre Haute, Chambers also served as an assistant dean at Columbia University, contributing to academic administration and institutional initiatives. Her career reflects a deep commitment to fostering collaboration, empowering volunteers and community partners, and driving meaningful impact for the people of the Wabash Valley.
